Notice
Starting July 1, 2010
- Virginia and Tennessee have entered into a reciprocal fishing license agreement for South Holston Reservoir. Virginia residents no longer have to purchase a separate Tennessee non-resident fishing license to fish in the Tennessee portion of South Holston. Along with the new South Holston Reservoir Fishing license, Virginia residents will be required to have a valid Virginia fishing license and, if they intend to fish or harvest trout, a Virginia trout license. Virginia residents holding only a Virginia fishing license may still fish in the Virginia side of South Holston Reservoir.
- Additional options are available for Hunters for the Hungry donations. Hunters and anglers can add $2, $5, $10, $20, $50, $75 or $100 to their license purchase. Other donation amounts can be made through the Department of Game and Inland Fisheries website at www.dgif.virginia.gov.
