Starting July 1, 2009
- Floating Waterfowl Blind licenses are now available. The floating waterfowl blind decal and optional plate will be mailed from the DGIF Richmond office. Please verify that the address on the license is the correct mailing address to ensure prompt delivery.
- Virginia State Forest Use Permit has been expanded to include fishing, mountain biking and horse back riding in addition to hunting and trapping. All persons ages 16 and older are required to purchase the Use Permit when performing these activities on state forests.
- VRMC Saltwater Recreational Use Fish Cast Net, Fish Dip Net, Five Crab Pot, Crab Trotline, 300 Ft Gill Net, and Two Eel Pot licenses are available. Saltwater Recreational Use Fish Cast Net, Fish Dip Net, and Two Eel Pot licenses are included in saltwater sport fishing licenses and should only be purchased if the licensee does not hold or intend to buy an Individual Saltwater, Saltwater Boat Sport, Temporary Sport, or combination Fresh/Saltwater Fishing license.
- Non-Resident Foxhound Training Preserve license has been added for non-residents to hunt within the boundaries of a licensed foxhound training preserve in lieu of other required licenses.
- Sales of the Migratory Waterfowl Conservation Stamp are reinstated.
