Starting July 1, 2008
- Apprentice hunting license now available! Resident and non-resident hunters may purchase a one-time apprentice hunting license if they have not previously held a hunting license. This apprentice hunting license is valid for two years, and takes the place of a regular hunting license. Hunter Education is not required. See 2008-2009 Hunting Regulations for details.
- Fee Fishing for Crooked Creek, Clinch Mountain and Douthat State Park can now be sold for consecutive days. Select the number of consecutive days (up to 10) and the starting date to have them appear on one license.
Virginia Hunting & Fishing Licenses
The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries, the Virginia Marine Resources Commission, and the Virginia.gov are proud to offer you online hunting and fishing licenses. Purchase licenses online for yourself and for others and receive them via email.
Before you start
- Only MasterCard and VISA accepted.

- Licenses and Permits are not subject to exchange or return.
- Your license will be emailed to you. You will be responsible for printing your license(s).
- Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to view and print your license(s).
Reprint an existing license (For online purchases only - receipt information is required.)
